Face lift :
Face lift medically termed as Rhytidectomy, is a cosmetic procedure performed solely for an aesthetic purpose. This procedure involves tightening of facial muscles, removal of excess facial fat, and trimming or re-draping of facial skin to imprecise a firmer or smoother facial appearance.
The procedure can be performed on either the face, neck, or both. Facelift can address various age related changes such as excess skin on the jaw line, sagging appearance of the cheeks, deep skin folds on the corner of the lips and excessive fat on the skin. Similar to any other surgical procedure face lift also holds certain complications namely bleeding, anesthesia risks, cardiac events, infection, temporary or permanent scarring and prolonged swelling.
