Eye Discharge :
Eye discharge will be explained as the fluid that is produced for the cleaning of the eyes, known as mucus or discharge from the eyes. During the daytime, the eyes will keep blinking, and the discharge will drain, but during the night, the eyes will be closed, and there is a buildup of discharge at the corners of the eyes. When this eye discharge is abnormal, it can lead to infections, and there will be other symptoms such as itching of the eyes, red eye, crusting of eyelids, eye pain, swollen eyelids, a bump on the eyelid, blurred vision, and light sensitivity. The eye discharge will be caused due to many reasons, such as blepharitis, keratitis, conjunctivitis, stye, dacrocystitis, and dry eye disease. This abnormal production of discharge will be managed with medications like antibiotics, antifungals, antivirals, and antiparasitics. The medications are used as eye drops and ointments for application to the eyes. The other treatments will be cold and warm compresses, antihistamines, and artificial eyes used for the lubrication of the eyes.
