Black Stool :
Black stools is a matter of serious concern and needs to addressed immediately. The most common cause of black colored stools are due to ulcers and gastric cancers in the digestive tract, it may be in the stomach, duodenum, small intestine or large intestine. Even certain foods like beetroot and blue berries and iron supplements might also be responsible for dark colored stools. Some of the reasons for bleeding in the stomach are peptic ulcer. Endoscopy and colonoscopy are the tests which might be suggested by a gastroenterologist to rule out the cause.Treatment includes oral medication and blood transfusion.
