Acid peptic disease comprises a wide range of conditions that damage the lining of the digestive tract due to stomach acids and digestive enzymes. Among them, the primary constituents of acid peptic disease include peptic ulcer disease, dyspepsia, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and gastritis.
