A paediatric neurosurgeon is a specialist surgeon who will be dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of neurological conditions seen in children with surgical treatments. A paediatric neurosurgeon is a qualified professional with a graduation in MBBS, followed by post-graduation in MS, General surgery, and further specialisation with DNB or MCh in neurosurgery. A paediatric neurosurgeon can treat various conditions such as brain tumours, spinal deformities, spinal tumours, traumatic brain injuries, epilepsy, congenital malformations, hydrocephalus, nerve injuries, craniosynostosis, cerebral palsy, and spina bifida.
