Urethritis :
Urethritis is the inflammation of the urethra. Urethritis will occur due to bacterial infection. Sexually transmitted infections cause urethritis. There will be different types of urethritis, which include gonococcal urethritis, nongonococcal urethritis, and nonspecific urethritis. The urethritis will occur due to sexually transmitted diseases like genital herpes, trichomoniasis, and chlamydia. The other causes of urethritis will be irritants such as spermicides, squeezing the penis tightly, activities that put pressure upon the urethra, urethral dilation, and yeast infections. The symptoms that are observed in urethritis will be pain during urinating, itchiness at the tip of the urethra, pain during sexual intercourse, pain in the pelvic region, blood in urine, and a leakage of blood, pus, or cloudy yellow fluid through the penis. The diagnosis of urethritis will be done through digital rectal exam, gonorrhea, blood tests, pelvic exam, and urinalysis. The treatment advised for the urethritis will be through antibiotic medications. The complications that are observed in urethritis will be bladder infection, cervix infection, prostate infection, testicle infection, pelvic inflammatory disease, and epididymis inflammation.
