Pregnancy Check Up :
A pregnancy check-up is described as prenatal care taken by the expectant mother during pregnancy. Pregnancy checkups are conducted routinely when a woman is pregnant to ensure that the fetus and the mother are safe and healthy. Pregnancy check up comprises of regularly conducting tests like blood tests, urine test and tests of genital samples. Investigations like complete blood picture, Rh factor, urinalysis, and urine culture are conducted, and the results are monitored continuously during the initial months of pregnancy. From the middle point of pregnancy, the frequency of monitoring the test results increases gradually. The growth of the fetus and also the condition of the pregnant women is evaluated in regular intervals of time in these pregnancy checkups. From the 20th week, once every two weeks, until the child is born, the blood pressure and abdominal palpitations are checked, and other tests are also performed during pregnancy checkups to check the health of the baby.
