Leg Fracture :
A leg fracture can also be referred to as a broken bone in the leg. Generally, leg fractures can be caused by injuries. There are different types in leg fractures such as oblique fracture, segmental fracture, transverse fracture, spiral fracture, comminuted fracture, buckle fracture, and other factors which includes avulsion frcature, stress fracture. The leg fractures can be caused due to various causes such as road accidents, injuries during playing sports, falls from top floors, or ladders. The symptoms that can be seen in case of a leg fracture can be swelling, tenderness, pain, bruising, and difficulty in movement of the legs. The diagnosis of leg fracture will be done based on the physical examination, X-rays, CT scan, and MRI scan. The treatment advised for a leg fracture will be done with immobilization with splints or casts, and surgical treatment will be with open reduction with internal fixation, using metal screws, and plates will be used to hold the bone intact in its place.
