Kidney infection :
Kidney infection is referred to as pyelonephritis. It will be a type of urinary tract infection. These kidney infections will occur due to bacteria, and these are more dangerous than any other urinary tract infections. The symptoms that are noticed in a kidney infection will be low back pain, pain during urination, fever, chills, abdominal pain, urge to urinate frequently, blood in urine, and smelly urine. The diagnosis of kidney infection will be done through diagnostic tests, which include urinalysis, a CT scan, and a renal ultrasound scan. Kidney infection will be mainly managed through antibiotic medications. The factors that will cause the increased risk of kidney infection include blockage in the urinary tract, nerve damage around the urinary bladder, a weak immune system, and a higher risk of occurrence in females. There are preventive measures that will avoid kidney infection, such as drinking lots of water, not delaying urination, avoiding deodorants and other products in the genital area, and maintaining proper hygiene.
