Heart Failure :
Heart failure, or congestive heart failure, is described as a problem in the heart that causes insufficient flow of blood from the heart, impairing the regular functioning of the body. Heart failure is classified into various types such as high output heart failure, left sided heart failure and right sided heart failure. The symptoms of heart failure are chest pain, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, waking up short of breath at night, fatigue when active, swelling in the ankles, legs and abdomen, dry and hacking cough, urge to urinate while resting at night, weight gain, nausea and loss of appetite, and bloated stomach. Heart failure may occur due to conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart attack, cardiomyopathy, heart issues present at birth, diabetes, high blood pressure, arrhythmia, recreational drug use, BMI higher than thirty, kidney disease, certain medications and alcohol use. The treatment methods to deal with heart failure include certain medications, implantable cardiac defibrillator therapy, lifestyle changes, possible fluid restriction, biventricular pacemaker, heart surgery, and heart transplant.
