Cystoscopy :
Cystoscopy is diagnostic medical procedure in which the urinary baldeer and urethra are examined by a cystoscope that has a light and camera attached to visually examine the organs. It can be done using a rigid cystoscope or flexible cystoscope under local anesthesia. Cystoscopy is used when suspecting conditions such as bladder cancer, over active bladder, urinary tract infections and symptoms like blood in urine,polyps or tumors,painful urination or dysuria, urinary incontinence, abnormal urine flow, interrupted urine flow in case of prostatomegaly, stricture, stones etc. It is a day care procedure and the patient can leave the hospital on the same day with minimal to no discomfort and resume daily activities.
