Club foot :
Club foot is a defect that affects newborn children. It causes the feet to turn inwards, making it appear as if the feet are turned sideways. Club foot occurs when the child's tendons are tighter than normal. Besides causing the foot to turn inward, the condition can make the ankle stiff and difficult to move. A family history of club foot or exposure to drugs and chemicals during pregnancy increases the risk of this condition.
A paediatrician can diagnose club foot during the child's first check-up after birth. The condition is not painful for the child but requires treatment. Leaving club foot untreated can make it difficult for the child to walk and also increase the risk of foot infections and arthritis. The treatment of club foot involves stretching the tendons with exercises, special splints or shoes. In some cases, surgery is required for relief from club foot.Found 61 Doctors for Club Foot Treatment in Vijayawada
