Cholecystitis :
Cholecystitis is recognized by severe right abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, bloated stomach, fever and fatigue along with abdominal muscle stiffness. Some of the causes of cholecystitis are biliary stricture, biliary ductal cancer, infections, and bile stasis.
It is more commonly seen in female population, people with obesity, hypertension and other chronic systemic diseases. Cholecystitis can be acute, chronic, calculous and acalculous. It can managed with intravenous administration of pain killers and antibiotics; however, in case of any severe condition one has to undergo surgical removal of the gall bladder, which can be performed laparoscopically.
