Paediatric Oncologist :
A paediatric oncologist is a specialist doctor who will deal with the diagnosis and treatment of cancers which are observed in children and adolescents. A paediatric oncologist is qualified with a graduation in MBBS, followed by a post-graduation in MD or DNB in paediatrics. Then further, they will possess a super speciality or fellowship in pediatric haematology-oncology. A paediatric oncologist is well-trained in managing several cancers, such as leukaemias, brain tumours, lymphomas, blood cancers like Ewing sarcoma, osteosarcoma, and blood disorders that affect children, like clotting and bleeding disorders, aplastic anaemia, and anaemia. The symptoms which are observed in children by the parents for consulting a paediatric oncologist include unexplained fever, weight loss, easy bruising, unusual swellings or lumps, weakness, persistent fever, fatigue, vision changes, abdominal swelling, headaches, changes in gait, vomiting, limping, abdominal pain, balance problems, and speech problems.
