Wilms Tumor :
Wilms Tumor also known as nephroblastoma is rare cancer of the kidneys which typically means that the malignant tumors arise from the cells of the kidneys. Wilms tumor is commonly seen in children, specifically between 3 to 4 years of age. This condition often affects only one kidney and is marked with symptoms such as palpable abdominal mass, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, fever, nausea, vomiting, high blood pressure and blood in urine. A multidisciplinary approach involving specialists from different departments may collaborate to work together to create an optimal treatment plan specific to every child ensuring the overall well being of the child.
