Vasculitis :
Vasculitis is a group of disorders which include inflammation of the blood vessels, which may be narrowed, thickened, or weakened with various organ damage, dysfunction, or disorder of their functions. According to the organs involved, vasculitis may manifest with numerous different types of symptoms such as fever, weakness, weight loss, and muscle or joint pains. It might be silent and can go undiagnosed, it can be due to infections, autoimmune diseases, or drugs. Diagnosis can take place through blood tests and imaging studies with a biopsy of the involved blood vessel. In vasculitis medical treatment involves anti-inflammatory drugs such as corticosteroids to control inflammation and prevent further complications.
