Throat Cancer :
Throat cancer is known as a cancer condition that can affect the throat through the continuous multiplication of abnormal cancer cells. Throat cancer can affect the oropharynx, known as the middle part of the throat. There will be various types of cancers that are affecting the throat, which include nasopharyngeal cancer, laryngeal cancer, and oropharyngeal cancer. The symptoms that will be seen in throat cancer will be sore throat, difficulty swallowing, hoarseness of voice, a lump in the throat, ear pain, coughing of blood, and weight loss due to reduced food intake. Throat cancer will be treated depending on the physical examination and diagnostic tests such as endoscopy, CT scan, MRI scan, and biopsy. The treatment advised for throat cancer will be through radiation therapy, immunotherapy, chemotherapy, surgery, and targeted therapy. The risk factors that increase the development of cancer include smoking tobacco, excessive alcohol consumption, low fiber content in the diet, frequent viral infections, exposure to chemicals, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
