Sunken Eyes :
Sunken eyes will be known as enophthalmos. It can be described as a congenital condition or an acquired condition. The sunken eyes will be caused due to many reasons, such as changes in the size of the eye orbit socket due to fractured bones in the eyes, changes in the contents of the eye socket, and changes in the size of the eye. The symptoms that are noticed in sunken eyes will be focusing difficulty, double vision, sagging of the upper eyelids, a deep groove in the eyelid, and dryness of the eyes. The diagnosis of sunken eyes or enophthalmos will be based on the eye examination, MRI scan, CT scan, and exophthalmometry. The management for sunken eyes will depend on the underlying cause, and it can be treated with medications and through surgery. The complications that are seen with sunken eyes include loss of symmetry of the face, loss of vision, worsening of symptoms, loss of eye movement, and double vision.
