Substance Abuse :
Substance abuse will be referred to as substance use disorder, which is a mental condition that affects the health and other situations in life. There will be many types of substance abuse, like cocaine use disorder, alcohol use disorder, cannabis use disorder, opioid use disorder, tobacco use disorder, and methamphetamine use disorder. The symptoms which can be seen in substance abuse will be intoxication symptoms like being calm,feeling sleepy, intense emotions and excitement, whereas there are withdrawal symptoms which include diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, sleeping difficulty, cramps in muscles, sweating, and mood changes. Drug tests need to be done to detect the substance in the body. The treatment advised for the substance abuse will be medications and therapies known as SUD therapies, like cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), assertive community treatment (ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), contingency management, therapeutic communities (TCs), family therapy, and motivational enhancement therapy.
