Stomach Cancer :
Stomach cancer is known as gastric cancer. Stomach cancer is described as a disease that affects the stomach due to the abnormal multiplication of cancer cells. The symptoms that can be observed when there is stomach cancer can be difficulty swallowing, unexplained weight loss, loss of appetite, fatigue, bloating of the stomach, nausea & vomiting, heartburn, indigestion, vomiting of blood, blackish stools, fullness of the stomach with little food, and stomach pain. There are different types of stomach cancers, which include carcinoid tumors, lymphoma, adenocarcinoma, and gastrointestinal stromal tumors. Stomach cancer will be detected depending on the diagnostic tests, which include blood tests, a PET scan, an ultrasound scan of the abdomen, a CT scan, and a biopsy to detect the cancer. The management of stomach cancer will be by surgical excision of the lining of the stomach, partial removal of the stomach, complete removal of the stomach, surgical removal of lymph nodes, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.
