The retinal detachment will be caused due to many reasons, such as injury to the eye, past eye surgery, aging, and family history of retinal detachment. The symptoms that are observed in retinal detachment include vision of flashing lights, seeing floaters, darkening of side vision, and darkening of vision. Retinal detachment will be diagnosed with eye examination, and tests will include fundus imaging, ultrasound of the eye, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and a CT scan. The treatment advised for the retinal detachment will be pneumatic retinopexy, laser therapy, scleral buckle, or vitrectomy. The complications that are seen with the management of retinal detachment will be bleeding, infection, cataract formation, and increased intraocular pressure.
