Prostrate Surgery :
Prostate surgery is the surgical removal of the prostate gland, either partially or fully. It is known as a prostatectomy. There will be different types of prostate surgery, like transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), radical prostatectomy, open prostatectomy, robotic-assisted prostatectomy, minimally invasive procedure, and laser prostate surgery. When there is an enlarged prostate gland known as benign prostatic hyperplasia, and in case of prostate cancer, prostate surgery will be advised. This surgical process is performed under anaesthesia, and an incision will be made, the prostate gland will be removed, and then the incision will be sutured. The risks associated with prostate surgery include erectile dysfunction, bleeding, urinary incontinence, dry orgasms, infection, and blood clots. Recovery from this surgery can take place around 4 to 6 weeks. Prostate surgery can take place in around 2 to 3 hours. The hospital stay will be 3 to 4 days.
