Papilloedema :
Papilloedema is an emergency condition that requires immediate medical attention either by medication control or surgical management. If left untreated, it has the potential to cause blindness. It is bulging of optic discs present in the eyes, bilaterally due to presence of excess of intracranial fluid pressure or infection of meninges.
It causes disturbance in optic nerve, which in turn causes neurological symptoms including headaches and vision changes. People affected with papilloedema has difficulty in performing activities due to improper vision and neurological issues. It is verified by ophthalmologist after performing eye tests and imaging studies.
