Nose Block :
Nose block is also known as nasal congestion or stuffy nose. It is caused by blockage of mucus production in one or both the nostrils due to viral infections or allergy reactions. It is more prevalent during allergy, pollen and winter seasons. It can be relieved by performing home remedies such as steam inhalation, humidifying the room, hot beverages, and saline irrigation. Consequently, it can be addressed with over-the-counter or prescribed nasal decongestants. Nose blocks may take upto a week or 10 days to completely resolve. If the symptoms worsens with other associated signs, then consult with ENT to rule out any underlying infection.
