Hormonal Disorders :
Hormonal disorders are also called as Endocrine Disorders. Hormonal disorders arises when endocrine system does not produce enough hormones in the body. The common hormonal disorders seen are thyroid disorders such as hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, adrenal diseases such as cushing's syndrome, addison's disease, pituitary disorders, acromegaly, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The causes of hormonal disorders are autoimmune diseases, genetical disorders such as diabetes, PCOS, exposure to toxins, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and due to tumors. The symptoms of hormonal disorders are weight gain or weight loss, changes in skin, skin tags, irregular periods, fatigue, mood changes, depression, frequent urination, muscle weakness, darkened skin, excellent thirst, changes in libido, and high blood glucose levels. Diagnosis of hormonal problems such as glucose tolerance test, blood tests to check levels of hormones. The treatment of hormonal disorders is done with medications, surgical treatment, life style changes, and radiation therapy.
