Gonorrhoea :
Gonorrhoea refers to a sexually transmitted disease and is also termed the clap or drip. This infection is caused by the spread of a bacterium called Neisseria gonorrhoeae and usually affects the rectum, genitals, and throat. Gonorrhoea may or may not present symptoms in all cases. This condition in women induces symptoms such as unusual vaginal discharge (white or yellowish), inflicts pain during sexual intercourse, bleeding between periods, pain or burning sensation while urinating and pain in the lower abdomen or pelvic region. The symptoms of gonorrhoea in men include white, green or yellow discharge from the penis, testicular pain and swollen testicles, pain or burning sensation while urinating. Itchy feeling, scratchiness and soreness in the throat, trouble swallowing, itching near the anus and pain while passing stool are commonly seen in men and women with gonorrhoea. Gonorrhoea is treated by prescribing antibiotics.
