Gallbladder Cancer :
The cancer that is affecting the gall bladder is referred to as gall bladder cancer. Gall bladder cancer will begin in the mucosal layer of the gall bladder, and then it will spread over the gall bladder. The symptoms of gall bladder cancer will be lumps in the abdomen, abdominal pain in the upper region, jaundice, unexplained weight loss, fever, nausea & vomiting, and bloating. The diagnostic tests which are performed to diagnose the gall bladder cancer will be liver function test, CA 19-9 assay, which detects tumour markers in blood, carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) assay, CT scan, ultrasound abdomen, MRI scan, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, endoscopic ultrasound, laparoscopy to detect the spread of the cancer, and biopsy. The treatment suggested for gall bladder cancer will be radiation therapy, surgery, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, radiosensitizers, and immunotherapy. The risk factors that are seen with gall bladder cancer are gallstones, obesity, cysts in the bile ducts, and chronic inflammation of the bile ducts.
