Fungal Skin Infections :
Fungal skin infections are called as tinea or ringworm. The cause of fungal skin infections will include dermatophytes affecting the skin, nails, and hair. There will be various types of fungal skin infections, such as tinea versicolor, ringworm infection, tinea unguium, tinea capitis, athlete's foot, tinea cruris, candida infection, and tinea corporis. The symptoms that are seen in fungal skin infections include round patches, bumps over the skin, scaly and red patches on the skin, a burning sensation, loss of hair on the scalp, itching of the skin, diaper rash, and rashes over the skin. The treatment for fungal infections will be done through topical anti-fungal ointments and oral medications. The prevention of fungal infections will be done by maintaining good hygiene by having a bath after sports and drying the skin, immediately hand washing, avoiding sharing towels, brushes, clothes, combs, skin folds, wearing loose clothes, and keeping toes dry and clean.
