Eye Diseases :
Eye diseases are the diseases that affect the eyes and are the most common diseases that affect the eyes, such as refractive errors like myopia, farsightedness, nearsightedness, astigmatism, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, macular degeneration due to aging, blepharitis, uveitis, conjunctivitis, and dry eye syndrome. The eye diseases will be caused by environmental factors, infections, genetics, eye injuries, and unknown causes. The symptoms that will be observed in diseases can be blurred vision, flashes of light, double vision, eye pain, redness of the eyes, eye strain, changes in vision, swelling around the eyes, and discharge from the eyes. The diagnosis of eye diseases will be done depending upon the eye examination, slit lamp examination, testing after pupil dilation, and visual acuity test. There are other diagnostic tests like tonometry, corneal topography, retinal imaging, fluorescein angiography, and optical coherence tomography. The management advised for eye diseases will be through medications, eyeglasses, contact lenses, and surgical management.
