Chordoma :
Chordoma is a type of rare condition of bone cancer that mostly forms in the spine or base of the head. Chordoma can be diagnosed with some neurological exams like MRI, CT scan, and needle biopsy to collect the sample of the tumor. These diagnostic tests are helpful for evaluation of tumor type, size and location of the tumor. As, this is a rare type of bone cancer, patients will be treated with highly skilled surgical or medical oncologists or radiation oncologists. Treatment includes radiation therapy or chemotherapy it is based on stage and progression of cancer. Symptoms are double vision, blurry vision, headache, facial numbness or pain. Risk factors include age, family history and genetic mutations and the exact cause of this cancer is unknown. Patients with surgical treatment have potential benefits than non surgical treatment.
