Bad Breath :
Bad breath can be an embarassing problem, often caused due to eating strong flavoured foods such as onion and garlic, maintaining poor dental hygiene, and having dry mouth or xerostomia. Bad breath is also called halitosis and must not be ignored.
Treatment includes brushing and flossing the teeth twice daily, avoiding triggering foods, and chewing sugarless gums that keep the saliva flowing and prevents dry mouth. If there is some underlying oral problem e.g. gingivitis, it must be addressed at the earliest.
