Hypertension In Pregnancy :
Having high blood pressure can be a cause for concern under normal circumstances as it gives rise to various heart problems. If hypertension is present during pregnancy, the situation becomes even more delicate. Hypertension in pregnancy is said to occur when the blood pressure is more than 140/90 mm of Hg. This generally happens when the woman completes 20 weeks of pregnancy. Hypertension in pregnancy can cause less blood flow to the placenta, premature delivery, injury to other internal organs, and potential harm to the developing fetus.
