Eye Infection :
Eye infection refers to eye condition that occur because of microorganisms like bacteria, virus or fungi. Eye infection commonly causes discomfort, itchiness and redness. The common eye infections that affect humans are conjunctivitis which is also known as pink eye, cellulitis, dacrocystitis, endophthalmitis, blepharitis, stye and uveitis. One can get these eye infections through microorganisms which enter the eye by improper usage of contact lenses and even through eye injuries. Eye infection induces symptoms such as red eyes, eye pain, swelling of eyes, yellow and sticky pus discharge from the eyes, watery eyes, itching or irritation, eyelashes that stick together because of discharge, blurred vision, sensitivity to light and fever. Eye infections are managed by using lubricating eye drops, over the counter pain medications, warm, damp and cool compresses to make the eyes feel better and by avoiding allergens that cause the infection initially.
