Ovarian cyst :
An ovarian cyst is a small sac or growth that forms in the ovaries. The ovarian cyst can be described as a fluid filled sac which are formed in one or both in single ovaries. These ovarian cysts can be non-cancerous growths and there are many types of ovarian cysts such as functional ovarian cysts including follicular cysts, and corpus luteum cysts. There are other types of ovarian cysts, which include dermoid cysts, ovarian cancer cysts, cystadenomas, ovarian cancer cysts endometriomas. The symptoms that can be seen in case of ovarian cysts include bloating of the abdomen, pain during sexual intercourse, pelvic pain, trouble in passing stools, painful periods, irregular periods, urinating frequently. The ovarian cyst can be diagnosed with pelvic examination, ultrasound examination, and a laparoscopy procedure done for the diagnosis and cyst removal at a time. Ovarian cysts can be subside on their own without any treatment. When the ovarian cysts are large in size, then it should be treated with medications, and surgical treatments will be laparotomy, which is a laparoscopic surgery and the cysts are removed.
