Ovulation Induction :
Ovulation induction is the procedure that induces the extrusion of one or more eggs from the ovaries. It is the most common treatment for any woman suffering from irregular ovulation and some conditions, such as polycystic ovarian disease. The hormonal medication could be clomiphene citrate or gonadotropins. This could be prescribed, and administered to a patient under the supervision of infertility specialists. Follow up responses could be monitored by checkup with blood tests and ultrasound, keeping track of the development of an egg. Eggs will likely grow to full maturity and at that point, a trigger injection may be given to stimulate ovulation. This treatment may enhance the likelihood of carrying a successful conception to term for a healthy pregnancy either by natural conception and timing intercourse or also by anti retro viral procedures such as IUI and IVF. Ovulation induction is generally well tolerated and the side effects, even in the case of a woman carrying multiples, may be experienced by some patients.
