Normal Delivery :
A vaginal delivery or normal delivery refers to the process of giving birth via the vaginal canal. It is the commonest and safest method of giving birth. In this type of delivery, the womb contracts to push the child out of the vagina. Normal delivery usually happens spontaneously and is automatically induced by the body between the 37th and 42nd weeks of pregnancy. In some cases, certain medications are given to the mother to put her into labour. Regardless of whether labour is artificially induced or not, normal delivery may be assisted with the help of a vacuum or forceps. A normal delivery has three stages: labour, birth, and placenta delivery. The labour stage can last for many hours and is quite painful since the womb contracts aggressively to push the baby out. When the cervix opens up wide enough, the birth stage begins with even stronger contractions. The placenta exits the body a few minutes after the baby is born.
