Eclampsia :
Diagnosis of eclampsia can be done with the help of urinalysis, liver function tests, and chemistry. There will be Elevations of serum creatinine levels, bilirubin levels, and proteinuria. Treatment for eclampsia includes medical and surgical procedures. It can be treated with the help of Antihypertensives like labetalol, magnesium sulphate. If left untreated, eclampsia can lead to serious health problems for both the mother and baby. Most serious complications seen in eclampsia are Renal failure, Hepatic failure, heart failure. In baby we will see rupture of placenta, premature deliveries, intrauterine growth restriction. Rare complications of Eclampsia are mother and fetal death.
