The symptoms induced by vasculitis include difficulty in breathing, coughing, numbness in hands and feet, rashes, fatigue, weight loss, abdominal pain, weakness, bumps or areas of discoloration on the skin, joint pain, kidney problems, fever and strokes. Vasculitis is evaluated using various diagnostic tests such as blood tests, biopsies, tests to check the functioning of the affected organs and angiograms. The management of vasculitis involves various options like prescribing drugs such as corticosteroids, immunosuppressants, and ACE inhibitors and surgeries to repair the blood vessels that are damaged.
