Ureteroscopy :
Ureteroscopy is a treatment procedure that is used to treat stones that form in the ureters. Ureters can be called the tubes that connect the kidneys to the urinary bladder. Ureteroscopy will be used in the diagnosis of any blockages in the kidney or blood in the urine. Ureteroscopy will be performed using a ureteroscope, which is a long and thin tube. It has a tiny lens and a light on the other end, which is used to locate the stone and remove it. When the stone is larger, a flexible fiber through the ureteroscope is passed to the stone. According to the size and location of the stone and the type it is made up of, the doctor will detect it through the ureteroscopy. Ureteroscopy will be done if there is a blockage of the ureter or the kidney and if there is blood in the urine. Ureteroscopy will be done under sedation, in which the patient will be asleep, and a ureteroscope will be inserted into the bladder and ureter to see the problems in the urinary tract.
