Renal Angioplasty :
Renal Angioplasty is done in patients suffering with renal artery stenosis. In Renal Artery stenosis the artey is narrowed or blocked and it causes renal hypertension . To relieve this the renal angioplasty is done which improves the blood flow. After opening or dialting the narrowed artery , in some patients a stent will be placed to maintain the flow. The Procedure is done in specialised cath lab by interventional cardiologists under strict aseptic conditions. Patient might need to stay in hospital for 2 to 3 days.
