The risk factors include smoking, diabetes mellitus, hypercholesterolemia, and hypertension. Rate of flow of blood is sometimes visible on an examination physically or via an ultrasound or even an angiography. Management usually involves a change in lifestyle and drugs to increase blood flow, In more severe cases, surgery or angioplasty. Management should be taken serioulsy as it could result in loss of tissue or even amputation of the limb.
