Pericardial Effusion :
Some presentations of this condition would involve chest pain, shortness of breath, and easy fatigability. Echocardiography or another imaging study are mostly used to affirm the diagnosis. Treatment of pericarditis is considered in relation to its cause. In more severe attacks, some treatments include drugs to reduce inflammation and or removal of fluid excesses. This may include removal of excess fluid via a process known as a pericardiocentesis. This will relieve the symptoms. However an attack of this nature calls for emergency medical attention through prevention of complication and restoration of normal heart function.
