Nose Injury :
Nose injury occurs when a bone or cartilage of the nose cracks or breaks, causing a broken nose, and requires immediate attention. The significant signs of nose injury include a crooked nose, a crackling sound while touching the nose, bruising around the eyes and nose, drainage from the nose, difficulty breathing through the nose, nasal obstruction, pain and tenderness, swelling around the nose, and nosebleeds. Nose injury occurs due to trauma, commonly by a motor vehicle accident, getting hurt while playing sports, or physical fights. Nose injury requires immediate attention and, if left untreated, may lead to saddle nose, necrosis (tissue in the nose starting to die), and a hole in the nasal septum. The management of nose injuries involves taking pain relievers, draining septal hematoma, manual realignment, and surgeries based on the severity, like septoplasty and rhinoplasty.
