Normal Delivery :
Normal delivery or vaginal delivery is the safest and most preferred method of delivery. The baby and birthing mother are highly benefited by a normal delivery. Normal delivery is performed using several methods such as spontaneous vaginal delivery, induced vaginal delivery, and assisted vaginal delivery. The three stages of normal delivery are birth, labor and delivering the placenta. The advantages provided by normal delivery include shorter recovery time, lower chance of future pregnancy complications, lactation begins sooner, lower chance of respiratory conditions in the baby, improved immune system function in the fetus, and the baby is more likely to breastfeed. The complications that may arise after normal delivery include vaginal tears, hemorrhage, irregular fetal heart rate, deep vein thrombosis and postpartum preeclampsia. Normal delivery is contraindicated if there is a problem with the placenta or in the presence of placenta previa, if the baby is in a breech position or any other chronic health condition.
