Microdermabrasion :
Microdermabrasion is a surgical procedure which is done to remove the uppermost layer of skin from the body or face using minimally invasive techniques. Microdermabrasion is useful to deal with conditions like fine lines or wrinkles, age spots, blackheads or enlarged pores, mild scars, especially those due to acne, stretch marks, sun damage and skin discoloration or uneven skin tone. The disadvantages of microdermabrasion are discoloration on the treated region, increased sensitivity to sunlight, flaky or dry skin, the need for multiple treatments and bruising, which lasts for a few days after the procedure. Microdermabrasion is conducted with the help of techniques like crystal microdermabrasion and diamond microdermabrasion. This procedure is recommended for people with acne or are under medication for the same, people with frequent skin rashes or cold sores, freckles, moles, skin tags or other growths that can change in size, shape or bleed, and those with skin problems like eczema or psoriasis.
