Ligament Injuries :
Ligament injuries will be known as sprains. Ligament injuries are caused by a tear or stretching of the ligament. There are various types of ligament injuries that will be categorized into grades, such as grade 1-mild, grade 2-partial tearing, and grade 3-complete tearing of the ligament. The common locations in which ligament injuries will be seen are the ankle, knee, elbow, wrist, neck, and back. The ligament injuries will occur due to sudden movements like twisting, landing badly, road accidents, injuries during sports, and muscle weakness. The symptoms that will be seen when there are ligament injuries will be tenderness, pain, swelling, bruising, limited movement, and a popping sound. The diagnosis of ligament injuries will be based on the physical examination, X-rays, and MRI scan. The treatment advised for the ligament injuries will be with a method called the RICE protocol, which is rest, ice, compression, elevation. The treatment advised for the ligament injuries will be through medications, physiotherapy, and surgery will be advised when the other treatments are not effective.
