Learning Disabilities :
Learning disabilities are explained as brain-related processing problems that affect the ability to read, speak, write, do math and perform other activities. There are various types of learning disabilities, such as dysgraphia (difficulty in writing), dyslexia (difficulty in reading), auditory processing disorder (difficulty in understanding and remembering), dyscalculia (difficulty in calculating math activities), and nonverbal learning disabilities, such as difficulty in social activities, motor skills, and visual tasks. The learning disabilities will occur due to many reasons, such as family history, fetal exposure to alcohol, malnutrition, language and speech delay, traumatic brain injury, premature birth, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and exposure to toxins like lead. There will be learning disability tests, which are done to diagnose, such as educational assessment, medical evaluation, psychological evaluation, cognitive evaluation, and neuropsychological assessment. The management advised that learning abilities are developed through collaboration with doctors, psychologists, and educators.
