Kidney Cancer :
The cancer that is affecting the kidney is called kidney cancer. There are various types of cancers causing kidney cancer, transitional cell cancer, renal cell carcinoma, Wilms tumor, renal sarcoma, etc. The symptoms that are seen when there is kidney cancer are blood in urine, tiredness, lump in the kidney, weight loss, bone pain, loss of appetite, flank pain, high blood pressure, high calcium, anemia, and low grade fever. The diagnostic tests done to identify kidney cancer are blood tests, urinalysis, CT scan, ultrasound, MRI scan, and renal mass biopsy. After the diagnosis of cancer is done, staging of cancer is done based on the size and location of the tumor, spread of the cancer, etc. The treatment options to treat kidney cancer are surgical treatments such as partial nephrectomy and radical nephrectomy, ablation treatments such as radiofrequency ablation and cryoablation, targeted drug therapy, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy.
