Head Lice :
Head lice are parasites that are seen to live in the hair on the head and bite the scalp, making it itchy. Head lice induce symptoms such as itching, a feeling like something in the hair is moving, small bumps or sores from scratching, and make it difficult to sleep, as head lice are most active at night. These head lice spread from one person to another by sharing items like combs, brushes and hats, which touch the head. This condition is commonly seen in children in the age group of three to twelve years, as they stay in close contact with one another. The treatment approach for head lice involves using medicated lotions and shampoos. In order to get of head lice, it is also important to wash the clothing and bedding, washing combs and brushes in hot water and vacuuming the areas of the home, including furniture, which might have come in contact with the lice.
