Growth Problems :
Growth problems are described as developmental delays, and children are at various stages of growth. There are several types of growth problems, such as short stature, gigantism, genetic disorders, hypothyroidism, dwarfism, delayed puberty, endocrine diseases, bone diseases, Turner syndrome, and nutritional complaints. The common symptoms of these growth problems in children include delayed social abilities, slower development of physical skills like sitting, walking, standing, and rolling over, delayed appearance of secondary sexual characteristics, and delayed mental abilities. The primary causes of growth problems are a similar family history, chronic medical complaints, malnutrition, constitutional delay of growth, skeletal abnormalities, stress, genetic problems, and congenital abnormalities. To identify these growth problems in children, there are various steps to be taken, such as observing the child, conducting blood investigations to check the hormone levels, and identifying the abnormalities of the pituitary gland by taking scans. The best way to treat these growth problems is growth hormone replacement therapy.
